Parvez has a strong background in translational research and experience in the planning and management of collaborative biological drug discovery projects. Previously, Parvez was a Program Scientist at McMaster University’s Stem Cell and Cancer Research Institute in Dr. Sheila Singh’s laboratory, where he led a team of researchers with the cross-platform expertise to discover novel brain tumour antigens and targets using different immunotherapeutic modalities.
Working at Arch Biopartners Inc. as a Project Scientist, Parvez managed the brain cancer portfolio and played a key role in liaising an academic-industry partnered venture, assisted with preclinical tasks, including manufacturing, toxicology needs and, ultimately, developed a regulatory strategy to pursue the IND application.
He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Manitoba and a Masters from the University of London (UK). Parvez has published more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and patents in the field of neuroscience and brain tumours.
